Procedure to Download MioMore Desktop

If you want to access the Mio navigation device and need all the map updates, firstly you are required to download Miomore Desktop. So, here is the procedure:

Firstly, open your preferred web browser.
Then, visit the official website of Mio.
After that, click on the support tab which you will find on the top of the screen.
Now, a new window will appear on which you need to click on the “Downloads and FAQs” tab located on the left side of the screen.
Then, click on “Car Navigation” and chose your Mio navigation device. You can also search for your product by typing your model into the “Search by product category”.
After that, you are required to click on the “Downloads” tab.
Next, you need to scroll down and click “Miomore Desktop” in order to initiate the downloading process.
Now, a new window will appear on your screen and you need to click on the orange “Download” button.
The file will start downloading and it may take a few minutes. Do not close the window or restart your PC before the download procedure gets completed.
In addition, save it in the “Downloads folder”.

Steps to Install Miomore Desktop

After downloading the software, you need to install it to update all the latest maps available. Below-mentioned is the procedure:

First of all, open your downloads folder.
Now, double click the “Setup.exe” file.
Next, select the installer language that you want to choose.
After that, you are required to click on the “Install Software” button.
Then, you need to click on “Install Miomore Desktop” to start the installation process.
Now, read the End User License Agreement carefully. If you agree to it, checkmark the box “I accept the terms of the license agreement”.
After that, click on the “Next” button.
Then, a dialog box of “Choose install location” will appear on the screen , click “Next”.
Now, you have to choose your map location and for that, you need to click on “Browse”.
Next, make a new folder “My Maps” in which you can save all the downloaded maps. Then, click on the “OK” button.
Further, click on the “Install” button and the installation procedure will begin. It will take a few minutes to install the software. Wait till the software is successfully installed.

Steps to Update GPS Mio

After the downloading and installation procedure gets completed, below are the steps to update GPS Mio:

Connect your navigation device to your PC through USB cable and turn it on.
Then open “Miomore Desktop”
Now, you will see a pop up offering you a software update for Miomore. You need to click “Download”.
After the download gets completed, you need to select the Installer Language and click on the “OK” button.
Then, follow the onscreen instructions to install all the software updates like above.
Once the updates get installed, the Miomore desktop will reopen. A dialog box will appear which shows that there are new map updates that can be downloaded.
To carry on the process, click on “View”.
Now, you need to click on the download button next to the name of the updated map you wish to download.
Once you download the new maps, the old maps will automatically get updated.
The new maps will installed automatically but if you get a pop up with an option to install, click on the “Install” button.
After the maps have finished transferring to your maps folder, you are required to click on the “Close” button.
Now, disconnect your device from your PC. If you want to look at the new maps installed, click on the “Main Menu” and then Settings>Maps>Map Version.
